Hello Seattle parents! How many times have you discovered a bumpy rash or discolored skin on your child and then consulted online sites to discover what it may be? Maybe your toddler has loose stools every time he eats wheat and after scouring all the web articles about bowel movements you decide he has a gluten intolerance. Now Is The Time To Improve Your Lifestyle In Seattle

Welcome to my Seattle entrepreneur blog. Today’s article is a bit philosophical. I want to talk about time. I would argue that time is more precious than almost anything else in life.

How are you managing your most valuable resource?

Are you working full-time for a corporation that may lay you off any day? Are you spending a lot of time training for a new Seattle career? Are you able to take the time necessary to nurture your relationships? When was the last time (there’s that word again) you spent a whole day playing?

I am JJ Birden. I run a Xocai Activ Direct Sales business from my Seattle home. I have been steadily building my Xocai Activ income-generating business since June 2009. Now that I have channels of residual income, the checks can come even if I take a three-week vacation with my family.

Sure, the money is great, but guess what I value more than the financial security? More Free Time. That’s right.

I am now living life on my own terms.

I spend several hours a week helping new Xocai Activ team members kick-start their home businesses. I absolutely love the challenge of helping Washington people create something unique and powerful in their life.

Other than supporting my Xocai Activ downline, I enjoy a lot of time with my spouse and kids. A lot. I know few Medina corporate executives who have as much free time as I do.

Today’s Seattle direct selling article is for Seattle internet rookies who want to kick up their web marketing a notch by adding a podcast to their Seattle home business blog.

A podcast is a multimedia file that is downloaded for playback on a mobile device such as an iPod or laptop computer. It can be a digital recording of a radio program or, more often, a program produced solely for online distribution. A podcast can be a recording of a webcast: a live Seattle program that is ‘streamed’ or broadcast on the internet in real time. When this is the case, it is similar to a DVD recording of a live program that you store in the database of your playback device.

A related term is the acronym RSS which probably originally stood for Rich Site Summary feed but is sometimes used for Really Simple Syndication. You have probably seen the term RSS on websites. An RSS feed allows digital files to be downloaded in a standard format. Medina podcast listeners often subscribe to favorite ongoing podcasts. When new podcasts are produced, they are automatically downloaded by RSS applications.

It is fairly simple hardware- and software-wise to product your own podcast for your Seattle online business. Your laptop may already have recording capability. If not, you can buy any equipment you need in the Medina area.

Seattle business owners operating on a shoestring will be happy to know that basic recording and editing software can be downloaded for free. Smart residents prepare for emergencies, and parents of young children in the Medina area should be aware of the special nature of preparing their families for emergencies.

Since the health and safety of all family members is important, everyone’s needs should be taken into account when preparing emergency provisions.

Most Seattle parents have experienced a tantrum or meltdown with their children. My kids usually lose it when they are hungry or need a nap. Some kids flip out if their routine is altered. My Medina co-worker claims her kids get crazy when there is a full moon.

Lack of sleep and low blood sugar are the usual suspects causing irritability in my Medina child, but a new study in the Journal of Nutrition points the finger at another culprit.1 Dehydration seems to lead to a low mood in healthy women. The study only included young women, but I did a little experiment on my own kids and noticed when they were mildly dehydrated they were fatigued and irritable.
